What is Evusheld?

Evusheld has a Wikipedia entry already!

Tixagevimab/cilgavimab is a combination of two human monoclonal antibodiestixagevimab (AZD8895) and cilgavimab (AZD1061) targeted against the surface spike protein of SARS-CoV-2  used to prevent COVID-19. It is being developed by British-Swedish multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology company AstraZeneca. It is co-packaged and given as two separate consecutive intramuscular injections (one injection per monoclonal antibody, given in immediate succession).

So instead of a mRna vaccine that encourages your body to form antibodies against the coronavirus, Evusheld is actual antibodies since your body can't form antibodies due to Rituxan.

It is approved by the FDA but it is still experimental.  I just watched the documentary, "Cancer: the Emperor of All Maladies" and am left feeling almost all medicine is experimental.  They know a lot more about cancer than in the early 1900s but there is still so much they don't know, like how to cure cancer. I am amazed they thought during LBJ's time as President that a cure was going to be found in ten years!
